The Colorado Nurses Foundation (CNF) is an organization
dedicated to improving health care and nursing practice in Colorado.
CNF began October 3, 1987 as
the Nursing Institute of Colorado. Although the name has changed, the
mission of the organization has remained essentially the same: to provide
a means
for nurses, other health care providers and consumers to work together
for quality health care.
The Colorado Nurses Foundation is devoted to creating
nursing excellence through the promotion of educational and scientific
activities
and community
based projects. Contributions, fundraising, activities and grants are
used to support CNF activities.
CNF became the sponsor for the prestigious Nightingale
Event in 1999, and has raised more than $50,000 for nursing scholarships.
Nursing students
throughout the State of Colorado are encouraged to apply for CNF Scholarships
